1 lb lamb or mutton, cut in pieces
2-3 Tbsp gheeClick to find more about ghee OR oil
1-2 med.onions, chopped
1-2 teasp. garlicClick to find more about garlic paste
2 teasp. chili powder
3 teasp. garam masala powder
1 Tbsp. vinegarClick to find more about vinegar
1 teasp. saltClick to find more about salt (more or less to your taste)
2 tomatos, chopped
Optional: coconut flakes,(to garnish)
In hot oil, fry onionClick to find more about onion until clear.
Add garlicClick to find more about garlic and chili powder, while stirring.
Then add garam masala, vinegarClick to find more about vinegar, saltClick to find more about salt and chopped tomatos. Keep stirring until the tomatos have cooked down into the mixture.
Add the meat and enough water to either make the salan/curry thick or thin, which ever way you like it.
Cook until meat is tender.
Garnish with a few coconut flakes on top. Serve with naans.
