| 14/10/29 ISLAMABAD – Pakistan strongly condemned and protested against India over unprovoked firing at Working Boundary. A Pakistani man who had inadvertently crossed the border was shot dead by Indian firing.
According to the statement issued by the Foreign Office, Pakistan summoned Indian High Commissioner and handed over official protest correspondence.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson said while strongly condemning the incident that India must honour the ceasefire accord and stop its military from targeting civilians.
Meanwhile, a local villager identified as Tauqeer inadvertently crossed the boundary while minding the grass. Tauqeer was killed without any prior warning.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, both countries established Company Commander level contact but India refused to hand over the dead body.
